Partners: This landmark public, private, and civil society collaboration brought together the governments of South Africa and Mozambique, the De Beers Group, and the nonprofit Peace Parks Foundation on a massive conservation initiative.

Project: “Moving Giants” translocated 200 elephants (between 2018-2020) to both rebalance ecosystems in South Africa and re-wild a devastated habitat in Mozambique.

BSL Role: BSL documented the effort through a seven-part video series and a journalism-driven website, establishing a breakthrough storytelling model for conservation. [NOTE: The Moving Giants website has since been retired, but the seven-episode video series has been relaunched on YouTube, and archival materials also remain available here.]
