GOALS Post is a first-of-its-kind virtual event that will bring together two international organizations that champion next-generation leaders from around the globe to solve the world's biggest challenges.
FEATURED SPEAKER:
We're delighted to announce that Nobel Peace Prize winner the Honorable José Ramos-Horta will be participating in GOALS Post.
José Ramos-Horta served as President of Timor-Leste between 2007 and 2012, having served as Prime Minister and Minister of Defence from 2006 to 2007 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation from 2002 to 2006. In 1996 José Ramos-Horta and Bishop Carlos Belo were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their work towards a just and peaceful solution to the conflict in Timor-Leste.
Directly addressing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — a blueprint to save the planet by 2030 — Enactus and UNLEASH annually convene emerging thought leaders from all over the world who take aim at poverty, hunger, inequality, and other intractable problems with entrepreneurial solutions.
BREAKING THE SILOS
With encouragement from the United Nations, GOALS Post aims to be a platform to spotlight the very best of these organizations’ solutions, to promote and help scale these ideas, and to form a burgeoning community of the world’s brightest and young global citizens committed to social good.
And it will help attract other organizations to the fold, by encouraging them to also break the siloes — and put the planet first.

We're delighted to announce that UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, Jayathma Wickramanayake, will be participating in GOALS Post.
Ms. Wickramanayake was appointed as the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth in June 2017 at the age of 26. In this role, Jayathma works to expand the UN’s youth engagement and advocacy efforts across all four pillars of work – sustainable development, human rights, peace and security and humanitarian action – and serves as a representative of and advisor to the Secretary-General.
MEET: ENACTUS
Founded in 1975, Enactus has an astounding worldwide community of 1.5 million alumni, and annually engages 72,000 students on 1,730 college campuses in 36 countries.
Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, teams of students conduct needs assessments in their community, identify potential solutions to complex issues, and implement community-impact projects.
Winning teams from each country compete in the annual Enactus World Cup.
MEET: UNLEASH
UNLEASH is a non-profit founded in 2016 with the aim of developing solutions to the SDGs and building capacity for young people from around the world. UNLEASH offers four different programs:
An annual Global Innovation Lab for the SDGs, gathering young people from all over the world
UNLEASH Plus, an incubator program enabling teams with a prototyped solution to fully launch
UNLEASH Hacks, local innovation events (hackathons) focusing on specific SDGs and leveraging the UNLEASH methodology
UNLEASH Community, which engages alumni in regional and global gatherings, and provides many more growth opportunities
SPOTLIGHT ON FOOD AND SDG 2
The GOALS Post 2021 Launch Event will be held virtually during UN Week this September and be a reflection of GOALS Post's international network and convening power. The event will feature winning members of Enactus and UNLEASH teams, along with notable luminaries, dignitaries, diplomats, and experts in food systems.
In recognition of the UN’s current focus on “Zero Hunger” and its high-profile Food Systems Summit in September, the theme for the initial GOALS Post event will be food systems. Each panel or interview during GOALS Post’s two-hour event will connect to one of the Food System Summit’s five Action Tracks, capturing and echoing the critical importance of the need to “transform the way the world produces, consumes, and thinks about food.”
ORIGINAL CONTENT
Thanks to the worldwide networks of Enactus and UNLEASH, and to its partnerships with the UN and its various entities, GOALS Post will have a sizable social media footprint and reach.
Enactus and UNLEASH have a combined 300k followers on Facebook, not including the reach of its global network of partners.
But more important than volumetric data, the GOALS Post network of next-generation leaders are highly influential ambassadors in their local communities.
